How to use the free QR code generator

Four steps, no account, no watermarks.

  1. Choose a content type and fill in the details. Your data stays in your browser.

  2. Customize colors, dot style, quiet zone, error correction and optionally add a logo.

  3. Check the scanability result. The tool decodes the rendered image and compares it with your content.

  4. Download the QR code as PNG or SVG. For print, use the size guide to pick the right resolution.

What is a static QR code?

A static QR code encodes its content directly into the pattern. That means your code works without internet and without FileConv, and it never expires. The trade-off: if you need to change the destination, you must generate and print a new code. The destination of an already printed code cannot be changed.

Scanability and logo safety

A QR code must stay readable after styling. The built-in checker re-decodes the exact image that will be exported, so a pass means the machine actually read your content. Stronger error correction adds resilience, but a logo that covers too much of the pattern can still make a code unreadable. That is why the checker measures logo coverage and warns you.

Print quality and file formats

Download PNG for photos, documents and most printers, or SVG when you need a true vector that scales to any size. Keep the quiet zone (white border) intact when you crop, and make sure the printed contrast stays high. Dark modules on a light background.

Private by design

All generation and validation happens in your browser. We do not store QR content, and nothing you type is uploaded, logged or shared. When you leave the page, the content is gone.

Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator free?

Yes. The generator is completely free, with no watermarks and no generation limits.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Everything runs in your browser, so there is nothing to sign up for and no account to manage.

Are my QR codes generated privately?

Yes. Your content, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and logos are processed locally and are never uploaded to our servers.

Can I add a logo to a QR code?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPEG or SVG logo, adjust its size, and the checker verifies that the code still scans with the logo in place.

Can I download QR codes as SVG?

Yes. You can download the code as a high-resolution PNG or as a vector SVG file that stays crisp at any size.

Can I print my QR code?

Yes. Use the print size guide to pick the right resolution for business cards, labels, flyers or posters, then download a PNG sized for 300 DPI printing.

Can I change a QR code's destination after printing?

Not with a static code. The destination is encoded in the pattern itself, so a new QR code must be generated and printed whenever the content changes.

How do I make sure my QR code scans?

Run the built-in scan check after every change. It decodes the rendered image and only reports a pass when the machine reads back exactly what you entered. Keep contrast high and the quiet zone intact.

Can I create a Wi-Fi QR code?

Yes. Enter the network name, security type and password and we build a standard Wi-Fi QR payload that phones can join by scanning.

What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?

A static QR code contains its data directly and needs no server. A dynamic QR code points to a short link managed by a service, so the destination can be changed later, but it depends on that service and often requires a paid plan. Ours are static: fully private and permanent.
